Important Reminders
- 6th Grade Social permission slip due to to your 1st period teacher ASAP — you must to turn in a permission slip regardless if you plan to attend (the social is on Fri. 11/3 from 3-4:30 p.m. — you must be able to stay the entire time in order to attend)

Language Arts
- search for evidence (an anecdote that supports your topic) that you can add to your essay

- in your Units of Study Information Writing Unit Google Doc, make sure to add the following:

•  create a section/bookmarks in your Google Doc for:
• Chart - Moving from One Key Point to a Plan for a Logical Informational Essay (on slides 21-22)

• learning target for Session Three (on slide 3)
• one bullet for the "Power-Learning and Note-Taking" chart (on slide 12)

- continue to add more to your research (finalize a topic) so you can flash-draft your essay tomorrow

- Newsela article due Mon. 10/30: Language barrier is an extra hurdle for Latinos in aftermath of wildfires (make sure you take read the directions and take the quiz at the right lexile level in order to get credit for the assignment)

- NoRedInk Assignment #8: Components of a Sentence II due next Mon. 10/30

- continue research for the My Democracy Project and narrow down to a topic
