 Important Reminders

Language Art
DUE by this Fri. 9/11
- Newsela article: Teen gives inspiring DNC speech
- NoRedInk Assignment #1: Identifying Different Types of Subjects

DUE by this Thurs. 9/10
- think HARD about what you'd like to do for your writing project for the rest of this unit and find mentor texts that will help you with that type of writing

- make sure that your writing entries are complete through Session 5 in your digital notebook

Math

1. Correct past homework assignments 


2. Assessment #2 on THURS. 9/10


3. Homework #5 (MAKE SURE YOU put the appropriate heading as shown in class). Due Thurs. 9/10

  • Judge Venn Diagram riddle worksheet (in your journal: # your problems, show all your work, box your answers)

To turn in your homework, do the following:

  • See which problem(s) you need to take a picture of and turn in
  • take birds-eye view and clear picture of your homework
  • upload to your google drive into the appropriate folder
  • rename files to appropriate file names
  • attach to Classroom homework assignment
  • Turn in

4. You need to FINISH i-Ready Math diagnostic if you have not done so yet.


Social Studies

1. Complete readings in Newsela AND then complete the quizzes. Due by Fri 9/11


**Need to get at least 3 out of 4 questions for full credit.  Anything below 3, points will be deducted.

**Can only retake each article once

**Need to send appropriate email to me and request a retake; make sure you indicate which article(s) you are planning to retake

-"What are different kinds of anthropology?" (The Study of Mankind)



Science
- complete the Science Engineering Challenge debrief questions on pg. 6 of your digital notebook

- complete the Engineering Design Process chart on pg. 7 of your digital notebook

- make sure your pages 1-7 (slides 11-17) of the Earth Science Digital Notebook matches Ms. Sun's example one


Exploratory
- get caught up on module videos for "Create a Presentation All About a Topic" and "Write an If-Then Adventure Story" on Applied Digital Skills
