- A Long Walk to Water Reading Summaries (you should have all three pages stapled together and labeled clearly for Chapters 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18 — use the text if you still need to complete it)

- Newsela article: "Little Mermaid" Remake (read the article and take the quiz at the end for whichever lexile level Newsela defaults to for you; however, try to read up to 940L even if you start off at a lower level). WRITE prompt is required — your writing should be at least two paragraphs long and be supported by textual evidence.
