- Newsela article: Taliban in Afghanistan (read the article and take the quiz at the end for whichever lexile level Newsela defaults to for you; however, try to read up to 1000L even if you start off at a lower level).

- NoRedInk Assignment #15: Verb Tense II - Perfect and Progressive Tenses

DUE Fri. 2/3:

- read I Am Malala Chapters 4-9

- I Am Malala Interactive Notebook: (do the work in your own copy in Google Classroom)

• slide 9: add to the map according to locations that are mentioned
• slides 19: must do
• slides 18, 20-23: must do at least ONE of the slides of your choosing, the rest are optional
