 Important Reminders

- Disaster Drill schedule tomorrow — BRING A BOOK TO READ

- make sure your parents sign the WEB Social Permission Slip on ParentSquare (WEB Social is on Fri. 10/17 from 3:05-4:15 p.m.) 

Language Arts

- finish your Narrative Writing entry for Session #3 in Google Classroom (make sure your notes are complete according to the lesson slides) 

DUE next Mon. 10/20:

- Newsela article: Jane Goodall and her legacy (read the article and take the quiz at the end whichever lexile level Newsela defaults to for you; however, try to read up to 980L even if you start off at a lower level). Annotations are optional.

- NoRedInk Assignment #6: Subject-Verb Agreement II

Optional Extra Credit: Newsela Scary Story Contest 2025 (share your story that you're submitting for the contest to Ms. Sun to get extra credit!)

Social Studies

-Sumerian Agriculture packet due Fri 10/17

-Sumerian Advertisement due Thurs. 10/23

(if you ever lose an assignment, you can go to google classroom and print out another copy)

Math

-Assessment #4 on Tues. 10/21

*How To read math homework problems assigned from the textbook:

# before "dash(-)" means the chapter, and #s after "dash(-)" mean problem numbers;   so #8-8 means chapter 8, problem 8

**Copies of math homework worksheets are posted in Math files.

Science

- Mid-Semester Notebook Check TOMORROW!!! (see the Village A Earth Science webpage for the "A+ Notebook Checks" section for what to expect):

• Make sure Table of Contents is complete according to Ms. Sun's model (it needs to be hand-written and not printed)
• All pages should have a stamp on it (unless it's Guided Notes) — if you are missing stamps, come at Before school/Brunch/Lunch to get it stamped
• Pages that will not be checked: 49-54, 56, 62
• Pages that could receive extra credit (if colored very nicely): 2, 4, 9, 15-16, 60-61

*** Make sure your Science Binder Table of Contents matches Ms. Sun's at all times!
