Reminders
- Social on Friday, October 26 from 3 - 4:30pm.  Turn in permission slips to Ms. Huang by Friday, October 26 (before the social).

Language Arts 
- Newsela article due next Mon. 10/22: Time to vote: An overview of the midterm elections in November (make sure you read the directions and take the quiz at the right lexile level to get credit for the assignment and don't forget to do the WRITE prompt) 

- NoRedInk Assignment #8: Components of a Sentence II due next Mon. 10/22

- go over the directions for the Family Interview Project with your parents and brainstorm who you will interview for this project as well as questions you could ask regarding a specific incident/memory

- continue to create pins for your Google My Maps for the Refugee book— you should have pins made and summaries written up to Refugee Chapter 13

Social Studies
- Africa and Middle East Geography Challenge due TOMORROW (use pg. 282-283 and the page in front of Chapter 1 in your textbook as well as the new textbook maps to help you)
