 Important Reminders

September Scholastic Book Orders due online by Fri. 9/4 (our class code is GTBLV)

Even though the flyers are for middle schoolers, you can click on the ALL FLYERS tab for other grade levels as well to order for younger siblings!

Language Art
- write an entry in your Language Arts notebook about anything:
  • label it Session #4 Writing
  • scan/take a photo of it and then upload it into you Google Drive Language Arts folder (make sure to rename the file "Session #4 Writing")
  • open the file, take a screenshot of it and put it in the Session 4 slide of your Language Arts Introductory Writing Unit Digital Notebook

Math
1. Correct homework for Tuesday (answers posted in village a website)

2. Homework #3 (MAKE SURE YOU put the appropriate heading as shown in class). Due Mon. 9/3
  • Horse Prime Factorization worksheet (2 pages).  SHOW all your calculations and BOX your answers.
To turn in your homework, do the following:
  • take birds-eye view and clear picture of your homework
  • upload to your google drive into the appropriate folder
  • rename files to appropriate file names
  • attach to Classroom homework assignment
  • Turn in
3. Assessment #1 on Thursday 9/3

4. You need to FINISH i-Ready Math diagnostic if you have not done so yet.

Social Studies
1. TCI digital notebook - Go to "Assignments" in TCI online to view your homework assignment.  
  • Complete Lesson 1, sections 3 thru 8, questions #3 and 4 for all the sections.  If you did not complete questions #1 and 2 during class on Friday, then you need to finish those as well.
  • Click on "turn in" for each section in TCI online when you complete the homework.
Science
DUE by TOMORROW
- pick FIVE articles from the Newsela text set about scientists and their work, read it at a comfortable reading level, then take the reading quiz under the "Activities" tab

- go to the Seesaw Activities tab and complete the word web using five to eight traits that scientists have

- pick one profile from the I AM A SCIENTIST website to read (you will have to scroll all the way down until you see the photos of people)

Exploratory
- get caught up on module videos for "Create a Presentation All About a Topic" and "Write an If-Then Adventure Story" on Applied Digital Skills

  2. Explain your picture, in words on the same page: 

    1. What is the scientist doing?

    2. Why did you draw the scientist the way you did?

- check your grades on Synergy: if you have a 0 for "Missing" or something that is "Incomplete" and you'd like to get full credit for it, you can make it up but you must fill out a Late Work Reflection Form for each one you are turning in late

Math
  1. Go and get all the supplies mentioned in the Math 6 syllabus.
  2. Make sure textbooks were picked up from school.
Social Studies
