Important Reminders

Language Art
- in your Narrative Writing Unit Digital Notebook, make sure to add the following:
  • learning target for Session Six (on slide 3)
  • four bullets for the Chart — How to Write Powerful Personal Narratives (on slide 11) — first copy/paste the chart over from Session 4
- for Session 6 Writing, respond to Amanda Gorman's poem "The Hill We Climb" (don't forget to discuss what your favorite part of the poem was and why!)

DUE this Fri. 1/22 @ 1:15 p.m.
- Newsela article: MLK's church makes history again
- NoRedInk Assignment #14: Commonly Confused Words IV-V

OPTIONAL: 
- work on iReady self-paced/adaptive system for Reading (about an hour a week)

Math

1. Turn in HW #29 if you have not done so yet.


*Math assessments are every other week as they were during first semester.  Make sure you set aside time to take the tests and communicate with your parents to not schedule anything during the time you have set aside to take the tests.  Tests should last about 45 minutes to and hour. 


*Late work/redos are updated once a week.  If you turn in late work/redos after I've updated for that week, you will have to wait until the next week for the update.



Social Studies
1. Ancient Israelite Leader scrap page.  Due Fri. 1/22 by 3pm.

2.  Watch the inauguration.

3. Project Resilience:  Lesson 3

*You need to fill out a late slip form for each assignment you are turning in late separately.  Be specific with the assignment.  Late work/redos are updated once a week.  


Science
- finish Bill Nye "Heat" Video handout if you did not complete it in class (here's the link to the YouTube version if you did not finish in class)

- read over the My Place in a Changing World project website (it will not let you view the website using your school account, so please use a personal account); contribute helpful resources to our village (make sure you are signed into your CUSD Google account)

- fill out one row in the Research Collection Template (posted in Google Classroom) tonight after doing 10 minutes of research/learning; check out the project symbaloo as a starting point

- make sure your pages 1-60 of the Earth Science Digital Notebook matches Ms. Sun's example one

Exploratory
DUE Mon. 1/25
- complete Chapter 17 Notes & Work (make sure you are working in your own copy that was made for you in Google Classroom)
