Important Reminders

upload your yearbook photo so that there's not a blank spot in the yearbook where you're supposed to be! (Make sure you follow the photo directions in the "Kennedy Activities" Google Classroom — deadline is 2/14)

Language Art
- watch the minilesson video for Session 12 & Session 13

- in your Narrative Writing Unit Digital Notebook, make sure to add the following:
  • learning targets for Session Eleven (on slide 3)
  • Chart — How to Write Powerful Personal Narratives (on slides 7-10) — copy/paste the chart over from Session 10
  • Session 11 Writing — continue to revise your writing (try adding flashbacks or flash-forward); get your writing to at least four full slides in length
DUE this Fri. 2/12 @ 1:15 p.m.

Math

1. Homework #35.  Due Thurs. 2/11.  


2.  Assessment #10 on Wednesday 2/10.  Will open at 10:30am and close at 2pm.  Once you start the test, you need to finish it in one sitting -- look for the timer on your test.


3. Check your answers for Review sheet #10 and study for the test.


*Math assessments are every other week as they were during first semester.  Make sure you set aside time to take the tests and communicate with your parents to not schedule anything during the time you have set aside to take the tests.  Tests should last about 45 minutes to and hour. 


*Late work/redos are updated once a week.  If you turn in late work/redos after I've updated for that week, you will have to wait until the next week for the update.



Social Studies
1. Work on your Hebrew migration chart with your partner.

2. Project Resilience:  Lesson 5
      
*You need to fill out a late slip form for each assignment you are turning in late separately.  Be specific with the assignment.  Late work/redos are updated once a week.  


  
Science
SHORT-TERM ASSIGNMENT(S):
- read the "Hydropower" handout and be ready for a quiz this Friday

- complete the "Water in the Atmosphere" and "Water Cycle Journey" Lab handouts in your digital notebook (pg. 62-68)

- make sure your pages 1-68 of the Earth Science Digital Notebook matches Ms. Sun's example one

*** WANT EXTRA CREDIT? Participate in the Eco-Friendly Kingdom Sculpture Challenge and post your photo to Seesaw to get 10 extra credit points!

LONG-TERM ASSIGNMENT(S):
- read over the My Place in a Changing World project website (it will not let you view the website using your school account, so please use a personal account); contribute helpful resources to our village (make sure you are signed into your CUSD Google account)

DUE THIS FRIDAY, 2/12
- 20 rows filled out in the Research Collection Template (posted in Google Classroom) --- you should be doing one row for each school day between 1/15-2/12

- STEMscopes chapters: Human Impact on the Environment and Human Activities and Global Climate Change
Picture Vocabulary (just review the terms)
STEMscopedia (read and complete the activity at the end)
Linking Literacy (should be done BEFOREDURING, and AFTER the STEMscopedia reading)

- Energy Roundup Quiz this Fri. 2/12!!! (will cover Uranium, Biomass, Geothermal, Hydrogen, Hydropower, Solar, and Wind handouts)

Exploratory

- complete Chapter 20 Notes & Work (make sure you are working in your own copy that was made for you in Google Classroom)

- CS First module: Code Your Hero

DUE Sun. 2/28 @ 11:59 p.m.
- Social Justice Unit Final Project (can do a digital poster if working alone, and a more elaborate public service announcement if working in a group)
