DUE Mon. 2/28:
Newsela article: What You Can Do to Save the Planet (read the article and take the quiz at the end whichever lexile level Newsela defaults to for you; however, try to read up to 1020L even if you start off at a lower level). Annotations are optional but helpful in aiding in your reading comprehension. Power Words activity is required this week.

Social Studies
Read HA txtbook pgs. 233-241 and complete Lesson 21 reading notes.  Due. Wed 2/16

Science
SHORT-TERM ASSIGNMENT(S):
- finish the Greenhouse Effect Car Drawing on Seesaw if you did not complete it in class today

- read/annotate "The Greenhouse Effect" reading in Google Classrom (download the Kami extension on your Chrome browser)

- watch the Brainpop "Greenhouse Effect" video and complete the Movie Quiz (make sure you log into Brainpop through Clever and find the assignment on your Dashboard)

- read the "Electricity" handout 

LONG-TERM ASSIGNMENT(S):
- read over the My Place in This Changing World project website (the pages that are not blank); contribute helpful resources to our village (make sure you are signed into your CUSD Google account)

DUE Fri. 2/28
- 25 rows filled out in the Research Collection Template (posted in Google Classroom) --- you should be doing one row for each school day between 1/14-2/18; check out the project symbaloo as a starting point
