Reminders
- Turn in all late work!
 
Language Arts
- in your Lucy Calkins Argument Writing Unit Google Doc, make sure to add the following:
  •  create a section/bookmarks in your Google Doc for:
    • Chart - Alternative Ways to Conclude an Essay (on slide 12)
  • learning target for Session Eleven (on slide 3)
  • two bullets/four sub-bullets for the "How to Write a Theme-Based Literary Essay" chart (on slides 17-18)
  • seven bullets for "Alternative Ways to Conclude an Essay" (on slide 13-15)  
- make sure you finish writing a Conclusion for your theme-based Freak the Mighty essay as well as revise your quotes to make them more compelling
- read the following chapters in Wonder tonight and make sure you go over the reading questions (audio files are available in case you want to listen and follow along):
  • Via's Secret
  • My Cave
  • Goodbye
  • Daisy's Toys
  • Heaven
- NoRedInk Assignment #19: Commonly Confused Words III due Mon. 2/13
Newsela article due Mon. 2/13: Emma Lazarus' "The New Colossus," a poem for Lady Liberty
