Language Arts  
SHORT-TERM ASSIGNMENT(S):
- on your iPad, makes sure you create an icon/shortcut on your Home Screen to the Village F website as well as the HW blog; also, in your Notability app, make sure you have:

• set auto-backup to the CUSD Google Drive account under Settings
• created a Divider for each of your classes and a Subject for each of the Social Studies and Language Arts units
• imported the 2.1.2 Understanding Geography's Effect on Settlement in Three Regions handout

- Newsela article due next Mon. 12/10: Uproar over the "Lion King" remake (DIFFERENT RULES FOR THIS TRIMESTER — read the article and take the quiz at the end for whichever level Newsela defaults to for you. Recommended: practice reading the article up to 1030L). Before you answer the WRITE prompt, make sure you watch the following two trailers first:
