Reminders
- Turn in all late work! 
- Turn in 6th Grade Social permission slip ASAP to your afternoon core teacher (latest by this Fri. 2/3) 
 
Language Arts
- in your Lucy Calkins Argument Writing Unit Google Doc, make sure to add the following:
  • learning target for Session Eight (on slide 3)
  • bullets for the "How to Write a Theme-Based Literary Essay" chart (on slide 16-17)
  • an entry for 1/31/17: come up with a claim about a theme in Freak the Mighty and three reasons to support that theme (these will be your body paragraphs)
- read the following chapters in Wonder tonight and make sure you go over the reading questions (audio files are available in case you want to listen and follow along):
  • Letters, Emails, Facebook, Texts
  • Back from Winter Break
  • The War
  • Switching Tables
  • Why I Didn't Sit with August the First Day of School
- NoRedInk Assignment #18: Pronoun Case due Mon. 2/6
