Language Arts 
- in your Lucy Calkins Narrative Writing Unit Google Doc, make sure to add the following:

• learning target for Session Seven (on slide 4)
• one bullet for the "How to Write Powerful Personal Narratives" chart (on slide 14)
• create a new chart (and bookmark in the Google Doc) titled "Techniques for Writing Memorable Leads" and add the four bullets to your list (on slide 9)
• an entry for 10/11/16 for the three leads for your seed idea

- conduct your interview with a relative/family member for the Interview Project — due this Fri. 10/14 (watch this video for directions on how to upload and link to Google Sites/turn into Google Classroom)

- NoRedInk Assignment #5: Identifying Parts of Speech II (Part 2) due next Mon. 10/17

- Newsela assignment: read one article everyday (pick three from each text set so at the end of the week you will have read six articles, three from each category)
